Alphamoda
Founded in 2002, Alphamoda Beach Fashions is a freshly recent Greek label specializing in “hot, sexy and high quality swimwear for daring men and women”. It is one of the few companies that offers a selection for both men and women.
Available in twenty-six colors in a mix of eighty percent polyamide and twenty percent lycra, women may customize their handmade bikinis by choosing from “Outline”, “Extreme”, “Hot” or “Classic” tops. The bottoms are designed in Rio, Tonga, Thong, Full Thong, D-String, G-String, Triangle and String. Further, there is a nice selection of side straps and rings.
The collection graduates in coverage with the Outline string type tops being the least amount of coverage and the Classic displaying bandeau tops in strapless and necktie designs. Pretty triangles called “Naxos” make up the Hot line and tiny micro triangles called “Kassos” and “Kithira” encompass the Extreme line of bathing suit tops.
The bottoms follow the same terminology as the tops, with Outline being basically strings for bottoms and Classic displaying full coverage with pretty side straps. The “Antiparos” from the Hot line is semi-modest with full coverage on one side of the body and sexy straps on the opposite side. Whether one chooses the shiny or matte fabric finish, this bottom is sizzling.
If you are bent on the bold and daring designs, “Halki” from the Extreme range is a stringed triangle with just a hint of fabric below. Women’s panties in cotton, lace, sheer or mesh fabric are also sold in a variety of colors. Both women’s swimwear and underwear are sized from x-small to large.
The men’s swimwear line is available in Brazilian, Rio, Thong, Thong with Metal Rings, Triangle, Triangle with Rings, G-string, and String. Like the women’s line, the men’s suits are offered in different coverage including “Extreme” which is a pouch attached to side strings, “Hot” which has a little more fabric and side straps, and the full coverage of the “Classic” with wide front and side straps. Men’s sizes run small, medium and large according to the wearer’s waist measurement.
The “Chios” from the Classic collection is a modest suit in the front with a choice of Brazilian, Rio or Thong back. The “Serifos” from the Hot line is sharp looking with silver metal rings attaching the front to the side string. This suit comes in seven back styles and would actually look very sexy in the shiny fabric. For those who do not want so much attention, the matte finish would be suitable.
But for the male exhibitionist, the “Anafi”, from the group of five Extreme products, appears to be the skimpiest of the full collection. Choose from normal straps or side ties, the whole range of colors, and even choose a different color strap from the pouch. The combinations are endless for this one. Lastly, the company offers men’s underwear in cotton, sheer and mesh in different colors, all with g-string backs.
