A fun, whimsical brand, Dirty Bird specializes in micro bikinis for the overt and audacious female personality. Headquartered in Florida, the people behind this American company have been designing sexy fashions and swimwear for over fifteen years. Their aim is to turn heads and create excitement, as they believe every woman should be the “Queen of the Beach”.
Recently launched are the new “Non-Tie Side” bikinis that feature a complete slip-on bottom instead of tie strings. Style 5004 is sexy with the triangle string top and bottom with low scoop front and g-string back. The color choices are fabulous in black, white, mango, fuchsia, lilac, turquoise, lagoon, blue and green. And when they say “micro”, they take that meaning seriously, as this style is only available in x-small and small.
Dirty Bird presently only offers one Brazilian styled bikini but with the range of colors in both vibrant and matte finishes and accent color trims in white, yellow or black, a woman could look fabulous everyday with a different suit. The top is unlined for added appeal and customers may choose between a lined or unlined bottom.
Their line of thong bikinis comes in four different styles including the “Medium-Cut”, the “Small-Cut”, the “Slim-Front”, and the “Mini-Kini”. The differences between the four cuts are described as follows:
- Medium-cut is a bit lower than the high cut but designed in such a fashion as to allow more front exposure. It may not be considered medium by other companies’ standards.
- Small-cut is the Dirty Bird. Minimum tan lines, maximum exposure, but barely legal.
- Slim-front is cut closer on both sides making longer straps or string ties.
- Micro thong – Mini Kini is the real reason for the existence of Dirty Bird. A very teeny, tiny string bikini, this covers just the right spots exposing the most skin and curves.
All Dirty Bird suits are made from lycra in a wide selection of great colors and prints. Matte or shiny solid colors, or solid and print mesh includes names such as matte orchid, matte coral, shiny gold, shiny electric blue, and vibrant yellow mesh. The prints include British Babe, Tiger, Blue Jeans, Rainbow and American Flag.
The company’s size chart page is very helpful as it provides photos explaining how the measurements should be taken. Depending on the suit, sizes are offered in x-small to large. But be sure to check the sizing accurately and contact the company if not sure as they do charge a service fee to exchange items.
Although the label has been successful with their selection of micro thong bikini swimwear, they are presently known in a fun way from their television ads promoting the newest novelty item, a “Candy Bikini”. A rainbow colored set with halter top and thong bottoms, it might be confused a first glance with a pretty crocheted suit. But alas, it is edible candy!
Admittedly, the line is very small in terms of number of designs but it does make up for that fact with the many colors and prints. Loyal customers will not hesitate to order more suits in another color.
