Double Take Microwear, also known as Double Take Fashionz, is a varied label producing micro swimwear, micro club wear and biker wear.
Double Take seems to be known for its transparent bikinis. And if you see these suits on the website, you can understand why someone would take a “double take” on the beach. Barely there to begin with, the fabric is completely see-through making the suit appear as though there is no fabric at all. Riko’s Slingshot is described as a daring one piece swimsuit. Daring is not the word and these suits are not for the faint hearted. Frighteningly bold is this design with one string highlighting the strategic parts of the body and then tied up in the back area.
The company offers the opportunity to buy the suits as sets or in separate bottoms and tops. The gold v-back bikini top in four way stretch lycra shimmers in the hot sun. Really pretty are the Mesh Micro Bikini set in purple, the Micro Bikini set in hot pink, the Mini Micro set in blue and the Patch Bikini set in neon orange. The patch set is less revealing but is actually sexier and more elegant with the triangle on each breast laid over an opening in the string. Coupled with matching bottoms, the triangle and openings attach nicely to the side strings.
Double Take’s full collection consists of bikini sets, bikini tops, bikini bottoms, string bikinis, mini micro bikinis, transparent swimwear, Riko’s swimwear, hugger shorts and hugger tops. The clubbing outfits include their Espiral line of club wear dresses, hugger skirts, pants and dresses, and a few accessories.
The hugger shorts can be worn when walking the beach either on their own with a top or as a cover-up to the bikini. They come with transparent front and back panels, low hip hugger styles, and thong back design in a very wide selection of summer colors.
Taking a peek at the Espiral club dresses is a real treat as most of these designs are fashionable, striking and not at all trashy. For women with gorgeous legs who can wear the style 4008 mini dress, they will look elegant in this black and silver or white and silver open back dress with silver ring at the neckline. Style 4004 in red or black is a Tarzan/Jane type dress with pretty halter top and four straps across the bodice.
In addition to the regular sizing, custom orders are available which is a terrific service. The order form explains in details what measurements to send with the order and it does not appear that there is any extra charge for the service (at least the site does not mention it anywhere). Double Take ships internationally and at the time of writing offers free shipping on purchases of seventy-five dollars or more.

Considering this is an American brand, it is truly surprising that the swimwear is so obviously bare, audacious, and risqué. These traits are normally left to European designers.
